Bob Chlada

Vice President Surety

Bob Chlada has nearly 20 years of experience within the surety industry. He has worked extensively on both the company and brokerage sides of the business, in both the contract and commercial surety arenas.

Bob's forte is his ability to astutely assess specific and potential unforeseen risks inherent within an obligation on behalf of clients, and to articulate those risks to the surety companies. He strives daily to fully understand and mitigate the surety risks for our client partner, while at the same time providing surety company partners with knowledge regarding the ability to assess client's risk. The relationships that Bob has developed in the industry over the years have been built on trust, integrity, knowledge, and professionalism. His ability to develop and maintain long-term relationships between clients and their surety partners is vital for all to successfully attain their organizational goals.

Bob's decision to become a charter member of the CRS team came without hesitation as he saw that our goal of total client service matched his own professional goals to a tee. Prior to this, he developed his skills on a national level on the brokerage side and previously spent many years on the company side with Amwest Surety and The Hartford. He began his career and in the business with a local surety-only broker, learning immediately the importance of and need for total client service in this industry. Because Bob has been fortunate to spend his entire career in the mid-Atlantic region, he has an extensive knowledge of the market in which he serves. At the same time, his tremendous national and global exposure round out experience and make him an invaluable part of the CRS team.

Bob graduated from the University of Baltimore Business School with a concentration in finance. He enjoys many hobbies and spending time at home with his family in northern Baltimore County.
