Bob Hegburg
Director of Safety Management
Bob Hegburg, Director of Safety Management, works directly with our clients executive and project management teams on evaluating, understanding and controlling exposures and identifying injury management opportunities that can be incorporated into organization's safety management programs. Bob effectively utilizes his construction, industrial, petrochemical, and nuclear industry experience to provide customers with a broad spectrum of industry proven results.
Prior to his current position, Bob owned and operated a private consulting firm representing both Fortune 500 companies and small businesses with operations across the country. Through the combined value of his innovative approach towards process improvements and a strong network of industry experiences, Bob was able to develop targeted service strategies aimed at improving his customer's operations and financial performance.
Before organizing his own consulting company, Bob worked with Zurich North America Insurance as a Senior Construction Risk Engineer and Team Leader for the mid-Atlantic region with responsibilities for supervising, training and mentoring Risk Engineers, as well as providing Risk Engineering services to some of Zurich's largest commercial construction accounts across the country. During Bob's tenure, he also participated in multiple national management teams focusing on the service needs of ENR Top 200 contractors, designing internal quality improvement and assurance processes and working closely with his management team on developing strategic plans to achieve corporate goals and objectives in customer satisfaction and service excellence.
He has served as Safety Manager with Dick Corporation (ENR Top 100 contractor), Health and Safety Director for Donsco, Inc, a Pennsylvania-based heavy manufacturer of grey and ductile iron castings, and worked as a Safety Engineer for the New York Power Authority at its James A. Fitzpatrick Nuclear Power plant located in Oswego, New York. Bob holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Safety Sciences from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and has presented as a guest speaker for several regional, national and industry-specific safety organizations.
Bob is an active member of the American Society of Safety Engineers, as well as several other regional safety committees.
