Joe Pierson

Director of Surety Operations

Joe Pierson is the surety team leader at Construction Risk Solutions (CRS), having roughly 20 years of experience within the industry. Supported by his tenure in the surety company community, Joe has gained extensive national and international experience while working with some of the world's largest and most sophisticated construction companies.

Joe utilizes his close relationships with leaders in all segments of the construction and surety industries to provide his clients with customized and specific solutions to their individual surety needs. His objective is to perfectly align his client's organizational goals with the surety company that respects and supports those goals and the relationship. Throughout the process, Joe works to provide each client with detailed knowledge of the inner-workings of the surety community, while offering targeted benchmarking statistics and a thorough review of the client's operations.

Before becoming one of the founding members of CRS, Joe had the privilege of running numerous regional offices throughout the country for Seaboard and Safeco. In 2002, he was chosen by XL Capital to open a new surety office in Dallas, Texas. Following the success of the Texas office, Joe was promoted to XL's home office where he was responsible for their largest national and international clients. Since that time, Joe has worked on the brokerage side of the industry with John Wagner's construction team.

Joe earned his MBA from Northeastern University. His personal interests include bible study and church activities, physical exercise, golf, fishing, home improvement projects, and quality time spent with his wife, Cary.
